Assessments Overview.
The best way to truly assess myself as an indiviual is to get as many different views as possible. Therefore, I completed seven seperate assessments; each providing a different evaluation and standard for results. Below, I will provide a brief summary of each assessment that I completed, then you will be able to use the drop-down menu under Assessments tab in the tool bar to view my results from the respective assessment.
Myers-Briggs Form Q:
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator provides a rich picture of different types and behaviors. It gives personalized information on communication, decision-making, dealing with change and conflict. This assessment is the most widely used personality inventory in the world. A personality picture provided by this test is as credible as you will find.
StrengthsFinder 2.0:
The StrenghtsFinder 2.0 assessment comes from a book written by Tom Rath. The assessment will give a top five report of the measured talent areas followed by a description. This test is a great way to measure emotional intelligence (EQ).
SIGI 3:
SIGI 3 is an education and career planning software for the web. It integrates self-assessment with in-depth and up-to-date career information that is easy to use and provides individuals with a realistic view of the best educational and career options for their future success.
O*Net Interest Profiler from MyNextMove:
This is a tool that many students and job-seekers use to obtain information about career options and what careers might fit their interests best. This is a very simple and easy to use assessment created by the National Center for O*Net Development.
Skills Center:
This assessment allows the user to select the skills that best fit them from a broad list. The provided list covers many different skills that students or job-seekers can choose in order to find the best career path for them. Skills Center also helps identify problem areas in your skills and informs you on how to improve them.
Value Questionnaire:
The Value Questionnaire is exactly what it sounds like. This is a form provided from the University of Minnesota at Morris Career Center that allows you to go through and analyze questions they provide you. This assessment does not yield a result, but it is effective in that it makes the user think about what is most important to them.
Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ):
This assessment helps the user to identify problem areas in career choices. The CDDQ is a product of the research conducted at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and The Ohio State University.
